The System

Essentially, the world we live in.  More relevant to human related controls, such as government, societal rules (both written and implied), and psychological influence.  Really anything that attempts to suppress or ignore our natural instincts.

iDevice

A handheld whiz bang, such as a cell phone, iPod, or electronic reading device.  Also referred to as a “digital pellet dispenser” because it dispenses practically worthless, immediately available information that is in the moment distracting.

Whiz Bang

Any electronic device that produces consumable information and disconnects you from the world.  TVs, computers, cell phones, video games, etc.  An iDevice is a whiz bang.

Digital Friend

Also known as a “one click friend,” or simply “click friend.”  Any online “friend” that you do not have regular, real world contact with.  If you haven’t conversed with someone either in person or over the telephone, they are considered nothing more than a digital friend; a figure that is nothing more than filler to boost your online friend count.
